Did not put supports in cake! What should I do?

I made a two tier cake, 10 in and 8 in. I have never done this before, this large (2 cakes to each tier.) I stupidly did not support the upper tier. Is there anything I can do now? Do I need to? The cake is on a cardboard cake board.
